Betway, the Europe-based sports betting and at the same time online casino operator has just recently announced that they are appointing Anthony Werkman to a CEO of the company and he would replace Richard Akitt.
Werkman is working as the company director of Marketing in Betway for the past four years. However, he has been working in the gaming industry for over 15 years.
The position change comes after Richard Akitt has been offered a chairman position after being the CEO for at least the last five years.
Betway’s current primary bases are in Malta and Guernsey. They supported by offices in London, Stockholm, Capetown, and Isle of Man and are currently employing more than 1000 people. Betway presently licensed in Malta, UK, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Ireland, Germany, and Belgium.
Richard Akitt, the now former CEO and becoming the new chairperson of Betway has given a statement and says that he feels privileged to be chosen as a CEO in Betway for the last five years and that he feels like now is the perfect timing to give way to Anthony to take over.
He also said that he is looking forward to working hand in hand with him and he feels great to be able to work closely together on the strategy and direction of he company's success.
On the other hand, the brand new CEO of Betway, Anthony Werkman states that he is honored to take the CEO role of the company at such an interesting and exciting time for the company.
He states that Richard and he have been working together for quite some time and he can't wait for that collaboration to continue happening even closely that before.
They have both been involved in the developing period of Betway for the past years and now are even more focused on making sure that the progress and development continues.
