Exclusive Interview with R. Franco

For those who aren’t aware of R. Franco, could you tell us more about yourselves and the games you create?

R. Franco is the leading provider in Spain with over 50 years of history within the gambling market. We have seen great success in exporting our games and technology to markets throughout Europe leveraging our leading position in Spain to gain a foothold globally. We currently have over 250 titles in our portfolio including slots, video poker, video bingo, roulette and mini-gamesю

We are a passionate team of professionals who are truly enthusiastic about game design and development, and this can be seen in the many titles we produce, which typically have a strong theme and many different features and bonuses present throughout a game.

Could you tell us more about your recent releases Wako and Gnomo’s Respin?

Wako is a 14th-century pirate adventure with symbols and themes based on Japan. We haven’t seen this type of design within the industry before and it blends many different popular elements into one title. The design isn’t the only innovation within the game, Wako is also home to three separate and distinct bonus rounds with each playing very differently. There’s a fishing bonus that awards players mystery prizes, a free spins round and a treasure hunt bonus where players traverse the raging seas collecting wins as they go.

Gnomos Respin is a five-reel slot with three rows and 25 lines. The animated Gnome present in the title can grant players an extra row awarding 50 lines during play increasing the overall winning potential. Again, we packed this title with multiple bonuses to allow for new experiences throughout play. There are both wilds and special wilds in-game that award a respin, a lucky bonus that gives players the choice of varying prizes and two different mystery prize rounds. This is all packaged in a bright and colourful theme that players will love.

How does creating games for the wider international market compare to creating games specifically for a Spanish audience?

At R. Franco we make games with a focus on entertainment and developing engaging features. This is enjoyed universally by all players, and we’re very proud of what we do. When it comes to games, we are very well known within the Spanish market for delivering high-quality fan favourite titles. As we begin to gain the same amount of notability around the world, we are pleased to see these players continually returning to our games.

There are regional differences between markets be that from a regulatory standpoint or what themes are received well between countries. However, developing our slots with a player focus ensures the success of a title regardless of what location we are targeting.

We recently reviewed Witches North, giving the game 7.9 out of 10! Could you tell us more about this release and why you think it resonated with players so much?

Firstly, thank you for reviewing Witches North and we are pleased you enjoyed it as much as our players! Witches North is a magical adventure and this theme is incredibly popular amongst slot enthusiasts as a whole. However, I think the title did so well because of the attention to detail we crafted the release with. The symbols, background and overall design are incredibly vibrant and the bonus round allows multiple retriggers to occur whilst playing, this creates a crescendo of excitement throughout play. The slot has done well both critically and commercially and reflects the quality we ensure each of our titles has upon launch.

Many of our games increase their player bases throughout their lifecycle and this longevity within the title speaks to their overall quality. We don’t want to release a game as a flash in the pan hit, we want our players to grow with the game and return to it months after release because of the engaging features and high win possibilities that can be achieved in them.
