While the importance and the worth of the Bitcoin “explodes” and hits more than $15,000, the MGA (Malta Gaming Authority) stimulates the organizations and companies to sign up for cryptocurrency and DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) as prospective projects.
The MGA has just recently declared its expectations about accumulating data and information on important matters as allowing the companies and organizations cryptocurrencies and DLT by their licensees.
In that direction, the regulatory body of Malta has made it clear that first, the potential markets need to protect their customers and prevent money laundering, in order for the changes to take effect.
The MGA issued a public statement, which said that with organizing a lot of advanced and original projects on the market, Gaming Authority is giving hang to interested companies which are interested to share their experience about their cryptocurrencies and DLT projects.
Maltese Gaming Authority is trying to form a friendly environment for using the cryptocurrency in the gaming sector, although drafting basic principles for application of Distributed Ledger Technology and its adaptations.
The Gaming Authority will be occupied with gathering and evaluating data until the beginning of February 2018. That is when they plan on getting their guide principles published, or more precisely, the guidelines should be published before the beginning of the second quarter of 2018.
