Most people will know about the laws of Turkey in relation to online gambling, as well as a lot of other areas.
There have been a lot of news reports about illegal gambling rings and the Police raids and manhunts ongoing all over the country, and there was a massive coup this week as local police finally got their hands on one of the most renowned and problematic gambling ring leaders in Veysel Sahin.
Sahin was arrested in Sivas where he was visiting his farther and the arrest itself is welcomed after almost a year since the last major police bust of an illegal gambling syndicate. Sahin has been detained for establishing an international crime organisation and was quoted in a recent report to consider himself a businessman and was going to take his father to Istanbul.
Policemen also detained 25 other men for “being a knight member to commit a crime” and “opposing the law against the regulation of betting and luck games in football and other sporting events”.
Turkey, as mentioned earlier, have a lot of ongoing hunts for different gambling rings and outfits and have really tightened policies towards gambling, more specifically illegal gambling – the following websites have all been shut down for illicit operations with many more hoping to be added to the list before the end of 2017;
