Rome Supermatch™ has been recently released. Can you tell us more about the Supermatch™ mechanic this slot features?

Rome Supermatch™ is one of the many titles we have been developing at Nailed It! Games that we’re confident players will be drawn to because of the unique and innovative features offered. Supermatch™ is a mechanic where wins allow for the creation of more wins, that in turn provides a crescendo of excitement and big win potential!

Players will initially be presented with one row and symbols depicting various Roman-themed characters. If three or more of these match, an additional row is added where just one matching symbol is required to continually add another row to the game board.

As the rows climb, players will unlock game-altering features such as a second chance, which allows for a respin if a matching symbol isn’t found. Reaching the top of the game board unlocks a mega respin, where any symbols that are not matching are redrawn to further boost wins. If the second chance has yet to be triggered, the mega respin will be triggered twice. There are also multiplier wilds present that can substitute any symbol and a spreading wild which provides an entire row of wilds!

Why do you feel players will be drawn to this release?

Rome Supermatch™ has easy-to-understand mechanics that offer a surprising level of depth to engage with and enjoy. Introducing a whole new mechanic to the gambling world will, of course, be an initial draw for curious players looking to enjoy a title that is at the forefront of innovation - but keeping these players entertained is what is key to a successful slot.

How does this innovative mechanic translate to the Roman aesthetic present?

We initially set out with the goal of creating a whole new, genre-defining mechanic, however how this is presented is just as important as the feature itself. We have Roman statues adorning either side of the game board that displays vital information, such as the symbol players are trying to match and if the second chance respin is available.

To the bottom of the game board, a Roman soldier is present and depicts the rounds multiplier on his shield. All of the action is presented within a Pantheon, immersing the player in a fully realized ancient Roman world.

What was the inspiration behind the Supermatch™ mechanic?

Our main goal with Supermatch™ was to overcome the challenge of innovation within the constraints of traditional slot games. We wanted to establish a unique and innovative game mechanic to distinguish us from other slot studios – one that adapts popular features from classic slots, but also pioneers a brand-new era in slot gaming.

We also recognized that a majority of players use their phones to play slots, so we developed the mechanic with a mobile-first approach. The buildable rows present are perfectly suited for play in a portrait setting, while still offering a great experience on a desktop. We’re developing features that wouldn’t usually be feasible in traditional slot games – for us, innovation and accessibility go hand-in-hand. We want every player to be able to enjoy these new technologies without limitations.

We’re now considering licensing the mechanic to other studios, enabling them to incorporate their most successful and recognizable IPs into the Supermatch™ universe and pushing the boundaries of slot-making even further.

What other games should we be looking forward to and do they also have innovative mechanics in them?

After Rome Supermatch™, we will be releasing Dog Days - a title that has incrementally increasing prizes for players to win during both the base game and bonus. The slot has a free spin round and a bonus game where instant cash prizes can be awarded. We’ve also added the bonus game into the free spins, so there is a lot of high-intensity action for players to enjoy.
