1. Four Leaf Gaming is sprouting up in the gaming world; can you share the vision behind your player-centric approach and how it shapes your games?

With myself and John learning from our 20+ years in the industry, as well as being players ourselves, we understand the importance of choice and the impact this has on longevity. We wanted to give the players control over their experience as much as possible and not force them down one particular path. That’s where our Game & Fortune features come in. At every turn, we allow the player an option to increase the game's potential by injecting exciting experience into the flow.

For example, with our Bonus Booster that spins up before any bonus round, we give the player the option to risk all or just a few of their free spins for a chance to win more. We also have Bonus Replay that gives the player the chance to replay their bonus if they didn’t win what they had hoped. We recently introduced our Fortune Maker mechanic which gives players the chance to win €1,000,000 by risking some of their bonus winnings.

We are always adapting and ensuring that we are providing the best possible experience for players. If there is something that is working/not working well, we will adapt accordingly.

2. With a promise to weave stories into every spin, can you reveal how narrative plays a part in your slot designs?

Our game plots are designed to complement the plot of the game wholeheartedly, with the expectation that the player has an opportunity to progress throughout the overall story. Our aim is that players feel immersed with the theme and characters of the game, and experience key features throughout gameplay. We are constantly thinking of new themes and characters that resonate with players during team creative sessions, as well as exploring what is relevant to our audiences at that particular point in time.

3. Your slots come with a 'zesty kick'—what's an example of a bold feature or theme that players won't find anywhere else?

Our USP is our Game & Fortune coins and how they are incorporated across all Four Leaf content, with individual mini-games such as Bonus Replay, Bonus Booster, Fortune Maker and Super Spinner interwoven seamlessly into each game. These complement the underlying mechanics of the game to enhance the overall experience. In terms of themes, we are currently working on a steampunk concept with a twist, so stay tuned!

4. Innovation is key in your game cultivation. What's the most innovative mechanic or feature we can look forward to in an upcoming release?

Our next headline release combines features that we know players love and combines them with something new and exciting in Cosmic Rush, available as a network release on 11th January. The game provides opportunities for players to accrue Cash and Collect symbols as they play, increasing their multiplier on the Rush Meter for wins up to 6000x bet. We have also incorporated two different free spins rounds, Cash Rush and Wild Rush, for that additional thrill for players.

5. The 'Luck of the Irish' is a famed tale, but how does Four Leaf Gaming plan to deliver that sense of luck and excitement to players?

While each game is different with varied themes, mechanics and musical scores, a key cornerstone for Four Leaf is that our games keep players on the edge of their seats. From our first release Clover Fortunes – an arguably tranquil setting within a magical forest – there is still that excitement that comes from unlocking those Clover Jackpots and the hefty wins that come with them.

Then there is our most recent release, Bloodaxe, set in the icy northern territories that amps up the free spins into layers so that just when the players think that they have reached the end, we award some more in the form of Bloodaxe Spins. We are very happy with how we are incorporating the luck of the Irish into our games so far, and are always thinking of innovative ways to continue this with our next releases.

6. With the online slot market becoming increasingly competitive, how does Four Leaf Gaming plan to stay ahead of the curve in terms of technology and player experience?

It is indeed a very saturated market out there, with new games becoming available daily for players to sample. For this reason, it is so important for us to be able to pivot quickly so that we can keep our games relevant and exactly what players want. In this vein, we have recently adapted to a new way of creating games that give us maximum control over the output. We are very excited to get these new games out and see what the players think!
