Triple Diamond is an online slots game developed by IGT. It is very similar to another game by IGT called Double Diamond. The slots are inspired by classic casino machines. The design elements are minimalistic but overall create the feeling of a traditional slot machine.

Triple Diamond has three reels and three rows for a total of nine paylines. The coin size ranges from 0.25 to 100 and the players can bet anywhere from 0.25 to 900. The return to player is 96.5%, which is not very high considering that other games of this type offer more.

The game is very simple and its rules are easy to understand even for someone with no experience playing slot games.

Symbols

The symbols in the game are not very diverse. The main symbols are represented by the word bar in different colors and numbers.

The lowest value symbol is a green bar, then two purple bars, followed by three yellow bars. In addition to these symbols, there is also the classic red seven and the logo of the game with the inscription Triple Diamond, which acts as a Wild symbol in the game.

Buttons

There are several buttons in the game that allow players to adjust the settings. They are located on the control panel at the bottom of the screen. Starting from left to right, the first button lets the player choose the paylines. The button to its right allows adjusting the size of the bet. Right next to it there’s a box displaying the total bet size. The yellow button in the center spins the reels, the box on its right displays the winning on the current spin which gets accumulated in the window showing the total balance. It is possible to set Auto Spin as well so that the player does not have to click each time he/she wants to spin the reels. 

Bonus Features

The main bonus features in the game come from the Wild symbol. If one of these symbols appears anywhere on the reels, the player will get a 2x multiplier. In addition, if in this case there are no other symbols on the payline where the Wild appears, the user gets a 3x multiplier. For two Wild symbols, the multiplier is an amazing 10x and 9x if there are no other symbols on the payline. The biggest win in the game can be achieved with three wilds. This will lead to an astounding 1,199x multiplier. Although this is a rare occurrence, it will lead to a massive win for the player.

Another bonus feature occurs when there are three bar symbols on a payline. They don’t have to be the same color for the player to get the bonus. In this case, the user gets a 5x multiplier.

Design

The design of the game is very simple and not very exciting. It draws inspiration from the classic slot machines with the way it displays the reels. The symbols are also inspired by traditional casino slots. There is nothing exciting about the design of the game that could become the reason to play it. Still, it manages to not get in the way of the game with distractions and unnecessary animations.

Triple Diamond Opinions

Triple Diamond is a very simple slots game. It does not have any layered bonus modes and is very easy to figure out. It could be a good choice for someone who is just getting into the slots game. For someone who enjoys complexity, the game might get very boring too soon. There is nothing exciting about the design either. The Return to Player is also lower than it should be for this type of game. Simplicity is the salvaging factor of Triple Diamond that could be the reason why someone decides to choose it over other modern games that have meticulous design and offer a more fun playing experience.

I appreciate that the Triple Diamonds slot machine jackpot is much easier to hit than modern video slots. All you have to do is find the three highest-paying symbols in a payline; no overly complicated bonus rounds or mini games.

Can’t say anything bad about the game, I enjoyed playing it.

The auto spin part was much better than I thought it was going to be for such a retro-style slot. You get to choose how many spins you’d like to play and you can even set loss and win limits. Using this allowed me to play my optimum number of spins in a session while keeping an eye on my bankroll.

From what I can tell the game is great, no negatives to report.

Being able to choose how many paylines you play was a nice touch, and I liked that you’re given a guide to how the lines work when you’re adjusting them. This, coupled with the line bet feature, allowed me select my perfect bet size.

I couldn’t find any issues with the Triple Diamonds slot.

I really like the retro design of this game; it’s nice to see a slot go back to basics and still look appealing.

I didn’t discover any major negatives to speak of.

The gameplay is a standard 3-reel slot which can get boring over long sessions but the Triple Diamond payout rate of 96.5% is pretty good.

The game works as intended with no major issues to note.
